Delaware Cherokee Native American Artist Carol Armstrong is an award-winning Oklahoma artist with a BA degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. She has been painting and teaching professionally for over 42 years. Carol was the Painting Instructor at the Firehouse Art Center for over 30 years. She is well known across the state and has a devoted following of students and collectors. 

Listed in Who’s Who in American Art, she has been featured in the Norman Magazine, Norman Living Magazine and Art Gallery Magazine. She is known throughout the Western and Contemporary Art communities for her emotive figurative and landscape Oil paintings. Carol has shown in numerous Juried Art Shows throughout Oklahoma and Nationwide. She has been represented by numerous Galleries in Oklahoma, Santa Fe and Scottsdale. Her work is proudly collected by many including the Cherokee Nation. Carol has been an award winner at the Red Earth Festival and OKC Festival of the Arts for many years. One of her recent galleries shows was at The Red Earth Art Center Gallery called “The Horse’s Landscape”.  

The 2016 recipient of the prestigious Oklahoma Governor’s Art Award, Carol continues to redefine excellence in fine art as she captures every opportunity to take her gifts to the next level.
