Felicia Fragua Curley
Felicia comes from a family of famous Jemez potters. Her first teacher was her mother, a well-known and respected potter, who taught her to make storytellers. Felicia began working with clay at age 13, helping her mother by scraping and sanding pots and has been creating pottery ever since.

Felicia Fragua Curley was born to Grace L. Fragua and Felix Fragua of Jemez Pueblo in October 1964, where she was raised along with her 12 brothers and sisters. She attended school in the Pueblo as well as the Santa Fe Indian School. Felicia comes from a family of famous Jemez potters. Her first teacher was her mother, a well-known and respected potter, who taught her to make storytellers. Felicia began working with clay at age 13, helping her mother by scraping and sanding pots and has been creating pottery ever since.
Felicia’s favorite shape are storytellers with lots of children. She also enjoys creating kiva pots and large nativities. Felicia enjoys pottery so much that she has passed along her skills to her children and grandchildren in hopes they can surpass her achievements in the Pueblo pottery world. Her son, Loren Wallowing Bull, is already making an imprint with his distinctive pottery.
