Growing up in South Texas I first became interested in art while working as a Jeweler’s Apprentice studying in Yoakum, Texas and while blacksmithing at in Gonzales, Texas. I then started to learn leatherwork in Victoria, Texas.

After retiring from the State of Texas, I moved to Oklahoma and began working at the Artesian Gallery & Studios.  Throughout the years I have had the opportunity to learn natural dyes, basketry, ceramics, and painting, among many other Native American techniques.

I am always willing to try and learn something new.  I like to try and mix things I have learned with the thought of “it’s either going to work or be a learning experience”.

I am of Chickasaw decent and my artwork has been exhibited and displayed throughout the United States as well as other countries.
