Tara Largo

I’m learning that being scared isn’t a moral flaw. And it’s also not a reason to quit or walk away. It can be the force that holds me back or the force that propels me forward. So, I’m going to move forward. I may fall on my face, but that’s still forward progress.

Artist's Full Biograpy

My name is Tara Largo (Navajo). I live in Bloomfield, NM.   I have spent 7 years teaching within the school district before beginning my second career as a maker in August 2020. I fell in love with woodworking after I learned how to use my first power tool when I created a wall piece for myself during the pandemic. It was something new and exciting. With the help from my family, from cleaning out a small storage shed to borrowing an old miter saw, G’Shee & Frames grew from there. G’shee, a nickname that has stuck with me till this day was given to me by my grandmother. Not only is she part of my journey, but I can definitely give quite a bit of credit to my Father. He was an immensely talented artist who I can thank for everyday that I inherited a bit from him.
