Zachary Miller
Zachary Miller (Chickasaw Nation) maintains a daily career in technology practice while maintaining an independent career as a visual artist. Zachary obtained his Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in Painting and Printmaking from Oklahoma State University in 2015 and his Master’s in Fine Art Printmaking from Colorado State University in 2018.

Zachary Miller (Chickasaw Nation) maintains a daily career in technology practice while maintaining an independent career as a visual artist. Zachary obtained his Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in Painting and Printmaking from Oklahoma State University in 2015 and his Master’s in Fine Art Printmaking from Colorado State University in 2018. His recent accomplishments include an Andrew W. Mellon curatorial fellowship at the Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian, where he curated a career retrospective solo exhibition titled Eyes of the World in collaboration with Dine artist, Shonto Begay in 2021. He also engaged in a Mellon research fellowship at the Hood Museum of Art/Dartmouth College Library until 2023 as the Cultural Heritage and Indigenous Knowledges Fellow for a grant titled Advancing Pathways for Long-Term Collaboration. Zach feels a deep connection to his Chickasaw heritage and has a fascination with the interplay between technology, the arts, and contemporary theory. Miller's return to Oklahoma marks a significant new phase in his career as he seeks to create works that both honor his heritage and challenge the boundaries of contemporary art, inviting viewers to consider the complex relationship between art and our shared human experiences.
